2FA in SAP using SNC and smartcards

GDG Labs Comments Off

GDG SX3200 supports digital signatures using external security devices such as USB tokens or smartcards. In the following video you can see a 2FA (two-factor authentication) using SAP Logon with SNC (secure connection to SAP) configured within a Windows domain and using a cryptographic security device such as the Spanish electronic ID (smartcard).

SNC provides security in the SAP client-server communications, this configuration was performed using the Windows domain. This, combined with the use of SX3200 SAP security product, implements an extra factor of authentication (2FA). This is one of the most interesting and striking use of this new security product.

Reduce incidents by blocking SAP credentials in your organization, delegating responsibility for the maintenance of the user credentials directly to the users.
